Donation Terms

These terms apply to donations made to Al Lina Charity Association through our website or the payment methods we publish. By donating, you confirm that you understand and accept these terms.

1. Donor authority and accurate information

You confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method, that the funds are lawfully yours to donate, and that the information you provide is accurate. Donations must not be used to conceal unlawful activity or evade legal restrictions.

2. Charitable use of funds

Unrestricted donations may be used where Al Lina Charity determines the need is greatest, consistent with our charitable mission. We will make reasonable efforts to use restricted donations for the campaign or purpose identified at the time of giving. If that purpose becomes impossible, impracticable, fully funded, or no longer responsible to pursue, we may contact the donor where reasonably practicable and apply the funds to a closely related charitable purpose, subject to applicable law.

3. Payment processing

Online payments will be processed by an approved third-party payment provider once activated. The provider may apply its own terms, fraud controls, exchange rates, and processing times. Al Lina Charity does not ask donors to send complete card details by email or messaging apps.

4. Currency, fees, and receipts

Your bank or payment provider may charge transfer, currency-conversion, or processing fees. Unless stated otherwise, campaign amounts are shown in US dollars. We will issue a receipt when sufficient donor and transaction information is available. A charitable receipt does not by itself guarantee tax deductibility in the donor’s country; donors should obtain independent tax advice.

5. Refunds, errors, and chargebacks

Donations are generally non-refundable. Duplicate, unauthorized, materially incorrect, or technically failed transactions may be reviewed under our Donation Refund Policy. Contact us before initiating a chargeback whenever reasonably possible so we can investigate promptly.

6. Recurring donations

If recurring donations are introduced, the amount and frequency will be shown before confirmation. Donors may cancel future charges, but cancellation does not normally refund donations already processed.

7. Compliance and refusal

We may refuse, suspend, return, or report a donation when reasonably necessary to meet legal, sanctions, anti-fraud, safeguarding, financial-control, or reputational obligations. Acceptance of a donation does not create control over Al Lina Charity’s operations or beneficiary decisions.

8. Privacy

Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy. Do not include sensitive beneficiary information in a donation message unless specifically requested through a secure process.

9. Changes and governing framework

We may update these terms as our donation methods or legal obligations change. The version shown at the time of donation applies to that transaction. These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Lebanon, without limiting mandatory rights that may apply to a donor elsewhere.
